Bangladesh, Qatar to Form Joint Working Groups on Energy and Finance

Bangladesh and Qatar have agreed to establish joint working groups focused on the energy and financial sectors, signaling a commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation. This consensus emerged during meetings held in Doha on Tuesday, where Bangladesh's Foreign Minister, Khalilur Rahman, held separate discussions with Qatar's Energy Minister, Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, and Finance Minister, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.

The talks centered on enhancing collaboration within these crucial economic areas. Foreign Minister Rahman extended an invitation to both Qatari ministers to visit Bangladesh at their earliest convenience, underscoring the desire for continued engagement. The Bangladesh delegation's two-day official visit to Qatar includes key figures such as Adviser to the Prime Minister for Finance and Planning Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit, and Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir, alongside senior officials.
