Barbican FC appoints Miguel Coley to lead a new phase of club development

Barbican Football Club has appointed Miguel Coley as president and director, opening what the Kingston club described as a new phase in its development. The appointment took effect immediately after confirmation by the Board of Directors.

Coley will provide strategic direction as Barbican FC seeks to expand football opportunities, strengthen its relationship with the Barbican community and establish partnerships for sustainable growth. The club also plans to improve its governance and player development pathway.

Chairman David Shirley said Coley brings football knowledge, leadership experience and a strong commitment to youth and community development. “The Board believes he is positioned to lead the next phase of Barbican FC. He will work within the strategic direction established by the Board as we strengthen the club’s governance, player development pathway and relationship with the Barbican community”.

Coley said taking the role was an honour and pointed to the club’s potential. “There is tremendous potential here, and our focus will be on building a strong, progressive and sustainable club that creates opportunities, represents the Barbican community with pride and continues to grow its impact on and beyond the football field.”

The club said its next chapter would place particular emphasis on young people, community ties and strategic partnerships. It expressed confidence in Coley’s leadership and football experience.
