The game started intensely, with both teams experiencing offensive difficulties. Alba Berlin initially took a 6-2 lead, but poor free-throw shooting prevented them from building a significant advantage. Bamberg capitalized, hitting two three-pointers and converting free throws to take the lead by the end of the first quarter. Alba found themselves trailing for most of the second quarter, hampered by missed opportunities and allowing Bamberg to extend their lead to six points before Martin Hermannsson tied the score just before halftime.

Following the break, Alba Berlin continued to struggle offensively. Bamberg tightened their defense, forcing Berlin into difficult, low-percentage shots that largely missed the mark. With five and a half minutes remaining, Bamberg had built a commanding 71-56 lead, effectively sealing the victory and forcing the series to a decisive final game. Michael Rataj led Alba with 18 points, while Austin Crowley scored 17 for Bamberg.
