Bauchi Gov Calls On Residents to Provide Security Agencies Information To Curb Insecurity

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdukadir Mohammed, has appealed to residents to actively support security agencies by providing timely and credible information to help curb the escalating wave of insecurity across Nigeria.

In a goodwill message released on Democracy Day, Governor Mohammed encouraged citizens to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and cooperative with security forces. "As we celebrate Democracy Day, I call on all citizens to renew their faith in the democratic process, uphold the values of unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, and join hands with the government in our collective pursuit of a more prosperous, secure, and united Bauchi State and Nigeria," he stated.

The governor described Democracy Day as a significant milestone reflecting the collective will of Nigerians for justice, freedom, and accountability. He emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by patriots who fought for democratic institutions. Governor Mohammed reaffirmed his administration's commitment to delivering democratic dividends through people-centered policies.

He outlined key achievements, including extensive road construction and rehabilitation in both urban and rural areas, upgrades to health facilities, renovation and construction of schools, and agricultural support programs aimed at enhancing food security and empowering farmers. Investments in water supply, housing, environmental sustainability, and youth and women empowerment initiatives were also cited as efforts to improve living conditions and foster growth opportunities. Mohammed concluded by thanking the residents for their support and assuring them of his government's continued focus on good governance and their welfare, wishing everyone a peaceful Democracy Day celebration.
