Bayern and Alba deliver 'festival for basketball' in finals opener

FC Bayern Munich secured a 102-94 victory over Alba Berlin in the first game of the German Basketball Bundesliga finals, with a standout performance from Andreas Obst.

Obst, who recently recovered from a severe infection, led the scoring with 33 points, impressing even his teammates. "I looked up at the scoreboard at halftime and saw he already had 24 points," said Bayern guard Justus Hollatz. "I was speechless."

Despite his illness, Obst, who was named the league's MVP, played exceptionally. "Honestly, I don't feel really fit yet," he admitted after the game, though his performance suggested otherwise.
