Bayern Munich Thrash Stuttgart 5-1 in Bundesliga Opener

Bayern Munich launched their Bundesliga title defense with a resounding 5-1 victory over Stuttgart on Friday, showcasing a dominant performance in their season opener. Michael Olise and Luis Diaz were among five different players who found the back of the net, highlighting the team's offensive depth.

The defending champions were in complete control throughout the match, a rematch of last season's German Cup final. Olise delivered a particularly spectacular performance despite challenging wet conditions. Dayot Upamecano opened the scoring with a header from a corner in the 21st minute. Late in the game, debutant Ismael Saibari set up Aleksandar Pavlovic for Bayern's fourth goal, and Diaz added a fifth in stoppage time to seal the comprehensive win. This victory extends Bayern's impressive unbeaten run in league openers to 15 consecutive seasons. Notably, Harry Kane, who has a strong scoring record against Stuttgart, had a relatively quiet night and was substituted late in the second half.
