Bayern sign Morocco midfielder Saibari on five-year deal

Bayern Munich announced the signing of Morocco midfielder Ismael Saibari from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday, securing the player on a five-year contract through 2031. The transfer fee is reportedly 50 million euros ($57 million). Saibari, a 25-year-old attacking midfielder known for his goal threat, is expected to bolster Bayern's already formidable forward line, which includes Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Jamal Musiala.

Bayern's sporting director, Max Eberl, welcomed the signing, calling Saibari "one of the most exciting players at the World Cup." The transfer had been rumored for weeks, with Saibari reportedly missing a training session to undergo a medical. Born in Spain, Saibari chose to represent Morocco internationally, making his debut in 2023. His arrival comes as Bayern aims to build on a successful 2025-26 season, where they won a league and cup double but fell short in the Champions League semi-finals.
