Bayern Star Kane Awarded European Golden Shoe for Second Time

FC Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has received the European Golden Shoe for the second time, recognizing him as Europe's top scorer for the past season. The prestigious award was presented in a ceremony at the club's museum in the Allianz Arena, attended by his family and club officials.

Kane expressed his pride in the achievement, calling the last season "outstanding" and the best of his career. He scored an impressive 36 goals in the Bundesliga, a tally that secured him the award. This marks the second consecutive season he has reached this scoring milestone, having also achieved it in his debut season with Bayern Munich in 2023/2024.

Former Bayern star Luca Toni presented the award, humorously referring to Kane as a "goal machine" and suggesting he was also deserving of the Ballon d'Or. The German champions are set to begin their new competitive season with the Supercup match against Borussia Dortmund. Kane's contract with Bayern runs until June 30, 2027, and he has indicated that discussions about a potential extension are imminent. He recently returned to team training after his holiday break.
