Bayrampaşa Municipality announces tender for packaging waste management

The Bayrampaşa Municipality in Istanbul has announced a tender for the collection, transportation, and recycling of packaging waste within its boundaries. The contract, which is set to last for two years, will be awarded through a public bidding process.

The tender is being conducted under Article 45 of Law No. 2886 on State Tenders. The municipality has set a preliminary tender price (muhammen bedel) of 648,000.00 Turkish Lira plus VAT for the two-year lease. Additionally, a provisional guarantee equivalent to 3% of the total rental fee for the contract period, amounting to 19,440.00 Turkish Lira, will be required from bidders.

Tender documents can be obtained for 1,000.00 Turkish Lira from the Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate located at the Cleaning Affairs Directorate's headquarters. Alternatively, interested parties can review the documents free of charge at the same location. The bidding process will take place on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the meeting room on the 3rd floor of the Municipality Service Building.

Prospective bidders must submit the required documents, including proof of identity, residency, criminal record (for individuals), guarantee receipts, company registration documents, and potentially a power of attorney or partnership declaration, by the end of business hours one day prior to the tender date. A crucial requirement for bidders is the possession of an Environmental Permit and License (Type 1 or Type 2) or a subcontracting agreement with a facility that meets the specified criteria, valid for the duration of the tender period.
