Belgian volleyball star Noor Debouck joins Croatian club Mladost Zagreb

Noor Debouck, the 21-year-old libero for the Belgian national volleyball team, is set to join Croatian club Mladost Zagreb for the upcoming season. Debouck has already achieved significant success in Belgium, winning multiple titles with her previous club, Asterix AVO Beveren.

Mladost Zagreb, which recently secured the Croatian Championship, Croatian Cup, and MEVZA League titles, sees Debouck as a crucial reinforcement. The signing comes as Mladost's current libero, Dora Brašnić, is recovering from shoulder surgery and is expected to be sidelined for three to six months. Debouck's arrival will create a strong libero tandem upon Brašnić's return.

Debouck expressed her enthusiasm for the move, stating, "I am very excited to come to Zagreb because it is a club with ambitions, and I really like that." She hopes to contribute to Mladost's continued success in the upcoming season. She previously played in Zagreb with her former club and described the experience as "really nice."

Before joining Mladost, Debouck will represent the Belgian national team at the European Championship in late August. She mentioned knowing coach Riccardo Boieri through a friend who played for him and heard many positive things. "I am very excited to work with him. I am really looking forward to meeting the team, my new teammates. I hope the new season brings us many good things," she added.
