Belgrade Prosecutor: Cannot Reveal Details Jeopardizing Murder Investigation

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office (VJT) in Belgrade stated that it is intensively collecting evidence and establishing all facts concerning the murder of Aleksandar Nešović. The crime occurred on May 12 at the '27' restaurant in Senjak.

The investigation currently involves 11 individuals suspected of committing the severe murder. The VJT has issued 21 public statements regarding the case, including five appeals to the media to report professionally and refrain from compromising the secrecy of the investigation.

Prosecutors emphasized that they are working diligently to uncover all details of the crime and related offenses. They reiterated that due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, they cannot release specific details that could jeopardize its integrity. Releasing information from the investigation, including witness or suspect testimonies, and their arbitrary interpretations, poses a significant risk to the investigation and the safety of both the accused and witnesses.

Once the investigation is concluded, the prosecution will inform the public about all established facts and circumstances and announce its prosecutorial decision.
