Mustapha Benali, Secretary-General of the Democratic Forces Alliance Party, asserted that serious political parties now face significant national responsibilities that extend beyond immediate electoral concerns. He criticized the prevailing focus solely on elections, arguing that current developments, particularly concerning the Moroccan Sahara issue and a recent UN resolution, demand greater party engagement. Benali emphasized the parties' duty to support state institutions in the post-wall phase, contributing to the stabilization of the population and the eventual dismantling of camps. He also stressed that the new development path, initiated by the Throne Speech, requires a revitalization of political life through genuine parties that actively engage with citizens.
