Berlin S-Bahn Lines Face Nighttime Disruptions Due to Construction

Travelers in Berlin should prepare for disruptions to several S-Bahn lines tonight as short-term construction work takes place in the Tempelhof area. The S-Bahn announced that these service changes are necessary to accommodate the ongoing construction.

The Ringbahn lines, S41 and S42, will be particularly affected. These services will operate only between the Südkreuz and Hermannstraße stations, meaning not all usual stops will be served. Passengers planning to use these lines should seek alternative routes or expect significant delays.

Additionally, lines S46 and S47 will also see modifications to their routes and schedules. The S47 line will run exclusively between Spindlersfeld and Schöneweide. While the S46 line is not rerouted, its service frequency will be reduced, operating only on a 20-minute interval throughout the night.

Only the S46 line is stated to not have a route change, but passengers will experience a reduced service frequency. The S-Bahn advises all affected passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and check for real-time updates.
