Berri says 'massacres' prove Israel 'disregards all agreements'

Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri has strongly condemned Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, describing them as "massacres" that resulted in the death of an entire family, predominantly women and children. Berri asserted that these attacks are part of an ongoing "genocidal war" waged by Israel against the land and people of southern Lebanon.

According to Berri, the "massacres" in Ansar, Deir al-Zahrani, al-Mansouri, and villages in the Nabatieh district irrefutably prove that the Israeli political and military leadership ignores all agreements, laws, and peace efforts. He characterized the aggression, sealed with the blood of children and women, as a call to all Lebanese, particularly political factions, to confront the Israeli actions from a unified national standpoint, free from regional, sectarian, or partisan biases.
