Beşiktaş announces UEFA Europa League squad, leaves out Milot Rashica

Beşiktaş has finalized its UEFA Europa League squad, but Milot Rashica will not be part of the team’s European campaign.

The squad includes goalkeepers Alexander Nübel, Doğan Alemdar and Emir Yaşar. The defense features Kassoum Ouattara, Emmanuel Agbadou, Taylan Bulut, Rıdvan Yılmaz, Tiago Djaló, Ümit Akdağ, Emirhan Topçu, Yasin Özcan and Amir Murillo.

Midfield options include Wilfred Ndidi, Salih Özcan, Kartal Kayra Yılmaz, Orkun Kökçü, Junior Olaitan, Václav Černý, Leandro Trossard, Fabio Miretti, İlhan Fakılı and Ernest Poku. Dušan Vlahović, Semih Kılıçsoy and Hyeon-gyu Oh are listed among the forwards.

Beşiktaş will open the league phase at home against Marseille on Sept. 17. It will then visit Hoffenheim on Oct. 15 before hosting Crystal Palace on Oct. 22. Further matches against Celtic, Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Bayer Leverkusen, Union SG and Omonia complete the schedule.

Under the Europa League format, each team plays eight different opponents, four at home and four away. The top eight teams advance directly to the round of 16. Teams finishing ninth through 24th enter a playoff, while those outside the top 24 leave European competition. Two-legged knockout ties begin with the playoff round.
