Beşiktaş begins new season preparations under coach Italiano

Beşiktaş has officially kicked off its training camp for the upcoming 2026-2027 season, marking the beginning of a new era under the guidance of Italian head coach Vincenzo Italiano. The team convened at the BJK Nevzat Demir Facilities for their inaugural training session, which included a brief address from Italiano to the players before the drills commenced.

The initial portion of the training, dedicated to light jogging and passing drills, was accessible to the press. The session concluded with ball possession exercises. Several players were noted as absent, including those on leave such as Orkun Kökçü, Amir Murillo, and Hyeon-gyu Oh. New signings Wilfred Ndidi, Felix Uduokhai, and Junior Olaitan are expected to integrate with the squad within the next few days.

Notable absentees also included Emmanuel Agbadou, who recently participated in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Ivory Coast, reaching the Round of 32. Additionally, players deemed surplus to requirements for the new season were not present at the training. These include Moatasem Al-Musrati, Jean Onana, Joao Mario, Elan Ricardo, Emrecan Uzunhan, Can Keleş, and Tayyip Talha Sanuç.

The club's football director, Önder Özen, and football technical and scouting director, Eduard Graf, were present, observing the team's first steps in their preseason preparations.
