Beşiktaş Goalkeeper Ersin Destanoğlu Reportedly in Talks with Hull City

Turkish goalkeeper Ersin Destanoğlu, who has impressed with his performances for Beşiktaş and earned a call-up to the national team, is reportedly nearing a move to English club Hull City. Destanoğlu is considered one of Turkish football's promising young talents.

Born in Istanbul in 2001, Destanoğlu began his football journey at the Bayrampaşa youth academy at the age of 11 before joining Beşiktaş's youth setup a year later. He signed his first professional contract with Beşiktaş in September 2017. After featuring in the U19 Elite Development League, he was promoted to the first team as the primary goalkeeper following Loris Karius's departure in June 2020. He made his Süper Lig debut on June 13, 2020, in a match against Antalyaspor.

Destanoğlu has been a regular starter for Beşiktaş since the 2020-21 season. His contract with the Istanbul club has reportedly concluded, and he is now in discussions with Hull City. Sources suggest that Destanoğlu is expected to travel to England shortly for a medical examination before finalizing his transfer.
