Beşiktaş targets French left-back Kassoum Ouattara

Turkish football club Beşiktaş is actively pursuing a transfer for French left-back Kassoum Ouattara as part of its strategy to build a championship-contending squad for the upcoming season. Manager Vincenzo Italiano has reportedly identified the need for a left-back, placing Ouattara at the top of the club's transfer targets.

Kassoum Ouattara, born in France to Ivorian parents, is a 21-year-old professional footballer who currently plays for Ligue 1 club AS Monaco. He began his professional career at Amiens, signing his first professional contract with the club in July 2022, which was set to run until 2025. Ouattara made his debut in Ligue 2 on August 20, 2022, in a match against Bastia.

In November 2023, Ouattara made a significant move, signing a five-year contract with AS Monaco. Internationally, he holds the right to represent both France and Ivory Coast. He has already represented France at the U-19 level, making his debut for the national youth team in March 2023.
