Big 5 Construct Nigeria targets solutions for $54 billion construction market

More than 165 exhibitors from over 20 countries will gather in Lagos for Big 5 Construct Nigeria, an event focused on products and solutions for a construction market valued at about $54 billion in 2025.

The sixth edition will run from Sept. 22 to 24 at the Landmark Centre. Organisers expect more than 10,000 contractors, developers, architects, engineers and other built-environment professionals to attend. Exhibitors will present products and services ranging from concrete, cement, steel and aluminium systems to heavy equipment, construction tools, protective equipment and modular construction.

The exhibition will also cover interiors and finishes, digital construction technologies, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, urban design, landscaping, windows, doors and façades. Organisers said investments in infrastructure, housing, industrial development and manufacturing would continue to support the sector.

Nigeria’s construction sector is witnessing an important period of growth, with continued investment creating demand for new products, expertise and capabilities across the value chain.

Market Research and ResearchAndMarkets put Nigeria’s construction output at about $54 billion in 2025. The sector is projected to grow by 3.1 percent in 2026 and average 3.2 percent annual growth from 2027 to 2030. Organisers also pointed to the federal government’s plan to establish building-materials manufacturing hubs as a way to strengthen domestic production and supply chains and help reduce construction costs.

The event will feature brands from Germany, India, Spain, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates, including Saint-Gobain, Sika, Asian Paints, Bosch, Uniflo, SPG Nigeria and Abumet. More than 25 certified professional-development sessions will address architecture, design, project management, sustainable materials, façades and commercial management.
