Billionaire Bill Gates admitted to U.S. Congress that his encounters with Jeffrey Epstein were a significant error in judgment, revealing that Epstein attempted to leverage sensitive personal information, including his extramarital affairs, to pressure him.

In a prepared statement to House Oversight Committee members, Gates asserted he had no knowledge of Epstein's alleged crimes and never witnessed any criminal activity. He clarified that while Epstein may have sought a personal relationship, he was never interested and did not reciprocate such attempts. Gates also stated he never visited Epstein's properties, including his island, ranch, or Florida home.

Gates recounted meeting Epstein in 2011, noting that the convicted sex offender had promised to help raise billions for global health projects. Although aware of Epstein's past legal troubles, Gates admitted he did not fully grasp the extent of his crimes at the time, accepting the meeting without the necessary level of caution.
