Billionaire Heiress Marries Without a Wedding Dress, but Keeps the Society Shoes

Isabel Getty, an heiress to part of a fortune worth more than $6 billion, chose a notably restrained wedding. The 32-year-old descendant of oil magnate J. Paul Getty married 41-year-old British financier Faris McKinnon without the elaborate display often associated with high-society ceremonies.

Instead of a traditional wedding gown, Getty wore a simple white dress with a miniskirt and a matching veil. She completed the look with a pink-dominant bouquet and cobalt-blue shoes. McKinnon wore a classic suit.

Their young son, Viggo, was present for the ceremony at Chelsea Town Hall. As the couple left the building, the child was carried by his father. The newlyweds then hosted dinner for their small group of guests at an exclusive members-only bar.
