Bishkek Authorities Investigate Bright Blue Water in Irrigation Ditch

Bishkek city officials are investigating an unusual phenomenon: brightly colored blue water observed flowing in an irrigation ditch on Razzakov Street. Residents who reported the issue expressed concern over the water's origin and its potential impact on lawns and greenery.

City inspectors promptly visited the location to examine the situation. They also engaged with businesses situated near the affected area to determine any possible sources of discharge. However, despite these efforts, authorities were unable to identify the responsible party or the cause of the water's striking blue hue.

The video footage capturing the colored water was reportedly taken on June 3 and published on June 4. The municipal agency "Bishkekzelstroy" (Bishkek Green Construction) stated that during their monitoring on June 3, no blue water was recorded in the irrigation network at the specified address.

This incident highlights a lack of clarity regarding potential environmental pollutants within the city's water systems. While the immediate visual impact is striking, the primary concern for residents is the potential harm to the local flora and the unknown nature of the substance coloring the water.
