Bishkek Doctors Undergo Advanced Medical Training in Paris

Four medical specialists from the National Hospital in Bishkek are currently in Paris, France, participating in a professional training program. The initiative is being held at the prestigious Hospital Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild, a leading institution renowned for its high-tech medical care in specialized fields such as ophthalmology, neurology, neurosurgery, and otorhinolaryngology.

This advanced training is part of a broader collaboration, stemming from a memorandum of understanding signed between the National Hospital and the Paris-based facility in 2026. The program is designed to immerse the Kyrgyz specialists in cutting-edge clinical approaches, the organization of specialized medical services, and the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies. They are actively engaged in hands-on clinical work under the guidance of their French counterparts.

The participating specialists include ophthalmologists Almaz Tultemirov and Gulnara Sulaimanova, focusing on retinal diseases and vitreoretinal surgery, respectively. Neurologist Nurzhan Dzhaparalieva is training in modern treatments for Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, while physician Boobek Sooronbekov is mastering advanced ENT and head-and-neck surgery techniques. The ministry highlighted that the training prioritizes areas of high demand within Kyrgyzstan's healthcare system.

Upon completion of their internships, the specialists are expected to return to the National Hospital equipped with enhanced knowledge and practical skills. Their plan includes applying these advancements in their patient care, organizing training sessions for their colleagues, and disseminating modern diagnostic and treatment methodologies throughout Kyrgyzstan's healthcare network.

The main focus is on areas that are in high demand in Kyrgyzstan’s healthcare system. In particular, the development of vitreoretinal surgery will expand treatment options for patients with retinal diseases, while mastering modern methods for treating Parkinson’s disease, ENT disorders, and head-and-neck conditions will contribute to further development of specialized medical care in Kyrgyzstan.
