Bishkek gasoline prices rise slightly in a week

The price of AI 92 gasoline in Bishkek has seen a slight increase over the past week. As of August 17, 2026, the average price has risen by 1 som, reaching 87.9 soms per liter, according to data from Kyrgyzstan's Antimonopoly Regulation Service. This marks a roughly 1.2 percent increase from the previous week's price of 86.9 soms.

While AI 92 gasoline experienced a price adjustment, other major fuel types in the capital remained unchanged. A liter of AI 95 gasoline continues to be priced at 109.9 soms, diesel at 99.9 soms, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at 48.8 soms. This stability in other fuel prices contrasts with the modest rise in AI 92.

Comparing Bishkek's fuel prices with neighboring countries reveals a mixed picture. In Kazakhstan, AI 92 gasoline costs the equivalent of 46.8 soms per liter, and AI 95 is 60.8 soms, with diesel at 64.9 soms and LPG at 21.1 soms. Russia has seen slight price decreases, with AI 92 at 74 soms and AI 95 at 80.9 soms. Prices in Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan remained steady over the week. Bishkek's AI 92 remains significantly more expensive than in Kazakhstan and Russia but is cheaper than in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
