Bishkek Mayor Elected Vice President of Global Cities Organization UCLG

Bishkek Mayor Aybek J hunaliev has been elected Vice President of the "United Cities and Local Governments" (UCLG), the world's largest organization representing local and regional authorities. The decision was unanimously adopted during the organization's regular congress held in Tangier, Morocco, on June 25.

UCLG unites over 240,000 cities, municipalities, and associations of local self-government bodies from more than 140 countries worldwide. It advocates for their interests on a global scale, including interactions with the United Nations and other international institutions.

As Vice President, J hunaliev will be part of the governing bodies of UCLG.
