Bishkek plants 83 large acacia trees for SCO summit preparations

Bishkek is actively engaged in urban beautification efforts as it prepares to host the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit. The city's green spaces are being significantly enhanced to create a welcoming environment for international delegates.

As part of these preparations, specialists from the municipal enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy" have planted 83 large acacia trees along Zhaiyla Baatyra Street. The trees, featuring closed root systems, were strategically placed on the median strip between Chortokeav and Alykulov streets. This initiative aims to increase the city's green canopy and improve its aesthetic appeal.

To ensure the trees' survival and healthy growth, the ground level was lowered before planting, and a modern irrigation system was installed. The trunks of the acacias have been wrapped in burlap and secured with special harnesses to protect them from wind and ensure stability. Future plans for the area include the establishment of lawns, the planting of annual flowers, and further landscaping improvements.
