Bishkek to Install Air Conditioners in 300 City Buses

Bishkek's city administration is seeking to equip 300 city buses with air conditioning systems, announcing a tender in the midst of summer. The project, aimed at improving passenger comfort, is allocated 144.27 million som for the purchase and installation of climate control equipment for Zhongtong LCK6105HCK model buses.

The municipal enterprise "Bishkek City Transport" plans to install 300 air conditioning units, including separate cooling for the driver's workspace. The technical specifications require the air conditioners to maintain a comfortable cabin temperature even when external temperatures reach up to +40 degrees Celsius. A warranty of at least 12 months is stipulated for both the equipment and the installation work.

Bids for the tender are being accepted until June 22. Following the contract signing, the selected contractor will have 60 days to complete the installation. A crucial first step requires the installation of one unit within 14 days for verification. Failure to meet the client's requirements could lead to unilateral contract termination. If all goes according to schedule, the first buses equipped with air conditioning could begin operating by the end of summer, potentially after the peak heat has passed.
