BLACKPINK faces fan backlash over small 10th-anniversary event

K-pop sensation BLACKPINK celebrated their 10th anniversary on August 8 with a fan event, but the modest gathering of just 40 attendees at the National Museum of Korea has sparked controversy among fans. The event, titled 'Meet&Greet,' was held at the museum, a venue with which the group has a prior connection through a listening party for their mini-album 'DEADLINE' and their participation as audio guides for artifacts.

Many felt the scale of the event did not match the significance of the 10-year milestone.
