BLACKPINK's Jennie to Release New Single 'Less than a Lover'

Jennie, the globally acclaimed singer and member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, is set to release her new digital single, "Less than a Lover," on June 24.

The track is an alternative pop song that delves into the complex emotions found in relationships that exist somewhere between romance and friendship. Jennie herself participated in the songwriting and directing the music video, infusing the song with her unique artistic vision. The song features a laid-back, refreshing summer vibe, built around lo-fi guitar and vintage keyboard sounds.

Prior to its official release, Jennie previewed "Less than a Lover" at Poland's 'Open'er Festival,' where it received a positive reception. The accompanying music video, filmed in Spain, captures Jennie's distinctive aesthetic and the essence of summer.

This release follows Jennie's recent success collaborating with the Australian psychedelic rock band Tame Impala on the remix of "Dracula," which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart. Following the single's release, Jennie is scheduled to perform at prominent international music festivals, including Lollapalooza Chicago in the United States and Summer Sonic 2024 in Japan.
