Blessing CEO get N10m bail, remanded for fresh N69m scam

Social media influencer Okoro Blessing, widely known as Blessing CEO, has been arraigned before a Lagos Special Offences Court on charges of defrauding a company of N69.15 million. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) presented a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretense and stealing.

The prosecution alleges that Blessing CEO falsely claimed ownership of a property located at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, which she purportedly leased to Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited for five years. The EFCC further accused her of dishonestly converting the substantial sum to her personal use. The charges detail that her representation of property ownership was known to be false when she induced the company to confer the benefit.

During the court proceedings, Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty to the charges. The prosecution requested a trial date and urged the court to remand her in EFCC custody. She is scheduled for another arraignment before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi on June 10, 2026, concerning a separate alleged fraud case. Justice R.A. Oshodi ordered her remand in EFCC custody and adjourned the current matter until July 16, 2026.
