Blues Brothers Band to headline Nišville Jazz Festival in Serbia

Music legends The Original Blues Brothers Band are set to electrify Serbia with a performance at the Nišville Jazz Festival on Thursday, August 13. This iconic soul and rhythm and blues ensemble, celebrated worldwide for their roles in the beloved "The Blues Brothers" film, promises an unforgettable night for fans.

The current lineup boasts original members Lou "Blue Lou" Marini, Tom “Bones” Malone, and Murphy “Magictones” Dunne, ensuring an authentic experience. Their performances are held under the official patronage and permission of actor Dan Aykroyd and the estate of the late John Belushi, who starred alongside Aykroyd in the 1980 cinematic classic.

The Blues Brothers' story began in 1976 as a musical sketch for "Saturday Night Live." Featuring guitarist Steve Cropper and bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn, members of the legendary Booker T. and the M.G.'s, the band quickly gained traction. Their 1978 album "Briefcase Full of Blues" achieved triple-platinum status and topped the Billboard charts, paving the way for the legendary 1980 film directed by John Landis, which featured cameos from music giants like Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, and James Brown.
