BMW launches its most affordable luxury car, the 118 Series

BMW has introduced its most accessible luxury vehicle, the 118 Series, to the Argentine market. This latest generation, arriving in February 2025, offers a premium experience in a compact package, produced at BMW's Leipzig plant in Germany. The model is available in three trim levels with two engine options: the 118 Advantage, 118 Sportline, and the M135 xDrive.

The exterior design retains BMW's signature proportions, including a long, wedge-shaped hood and muscular rear. However, the 2025 model receives updated dimensions, growing slightly in length and height. Notable design enhancements include larger air intakes, new vertical-element LED headlights, and a redesigned double-kidney grille with vertical and diagonal bars. A distinctive touch is the embossed "1" on the C-pillar's Hofmeister kink, complemented by new 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/45 tires.

Inside, the 118 Series impresses with high-quality materials and finishes. While front occupants enjoy ample space, the rear seating is somewhat limited, best suited for two adults. Visibility is excellent despite the relatively compact glass surfaces. The cabin is highly technological, featuring two curved screens: a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch central display. This central screen supports touch and voice control, runs on the BMW 9 operating system, and is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, offering ConnectedDrive services and Roadside Assistance.

Further enhancing the premium feel are features like an electric panoramic sunroof, head-up display, rearview camera, parking sensors, and perforated eco-leather upholstery. Sport seats with electric adjustment, wireless device charging, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents and voice control, and graphite aluminum trim are also included. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive safety package, including six airbags and Isofix anchors.
