BNP leader appointed to ICAPP standing committee

Md Ismail Zabihullah, an adviser to the BNP Chairman, has been nominated to the standing committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP). The Ministry of Public Administration confirmed the appointment through a press release.

Established in 2000, ICAPP serves as an international forum for political parties across Asia. Its core mission involves enhancing mutual trust among these parties and fostering regional stability and development.

Zabihullah, who also advises the Prime Minister on public administration affairs, will attend the 45th ICAPP standing committee meeting in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from June 25 to 28. He will be joined by BNP Joint Secretary General Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel as representatives of the party.

This appointment continues a tradition of BNP representation in ICAPP's standing committee. Former BNP vice-chairman Abdullah Al Noman served on the committee from 2004 to 2005, and current Information Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon held the position from 2006 to 2009.
