Bolivia's President Paz to meet governors Aug. 5, notes Brazilian investment interest

Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz announced he will meet with the nation's nine governors on August 5 in Sucre. The meeting aims to foster coordination and address key issues including state reform, a proposed "50/50" fiscal policy, and strengthening decentralization efforts.

Today I am with the governor of La Paz, yesterday I was with the governor of Santa Cruz, on the 5th (of August) I will be with the governors of the whole country, to work together (...) We must never block ourselves again, we will move forward, but we must all work together.

Paz also revealed that a Brazilian business sector has signaled interest in investing across Bolivia, encompassing both its eastern and western regions. He emphasized the country's cultural richness as a significant draw for foreign investors, stating that culture attracts not only investment but also a deeper connection to the nation.

Yesterday we were with a Brazilian business sector that not only wants to invest in Santa Cruz, but also wants to come to the west. Culture is an attraction so that they not only come to invest, but come to feel what the Fatherland is.

Speaking from the official stage of La Paz's Gran Poder festival, one of Bolivia's most important cultural and religious events, Paz shared his optimism for the country's future. "Bolivia never gives up, it is always standing, always strong, and we will move forward," he declared. His remarks followed his participation in events in Santa Cruz and San Ignacio de Velasco, where he attended the anniversary of the Military Aviation College and signed an agreement to boost the San Ignacio–Mato Grosso (Brazil) international road corridor, enhancing connectivity between the two nations.
