Bolivian minister defends airline manager against 'lies' on social media

Bolivian Minister of Public Works Mauricio Zamora has publicly defended Estanislao Finfera, the newly appointed general manager of Boliviana de Aviación (BoA), against what he describes as "many lies" circulating on social media. Zamora asserted that these accusations, particularly those alleging economic damage, have been addressed and clarified.

There are many lies on social media regarding the complaint against the manager. There are many lies on social media, that has already been assessed, the new manager has even commented on it, and he already has the explanations.

Zamora highlighted Finfera's extensive experience, noting his more than 40 years in civil and military aviation, with a total of 18,301 flight hours. Finfera has previously held significant roles within BoA, including operations manager and instructor pilot, and also served in command and instruction capacities within the Bolivian Air Force and as commander at AeroSur and Lloyd Aéreo Boliviano.

We are inconveniencing people, and whoever you choose is a problem. There are people who lend themselves to this type of misinformation.

The minister suggested that the misinformation is intended to obstruct the new management's work. He stated that Finfera has provided his explanations and documentation regarding the allegations. Zamora urged the public and media to allow Finfera, whom he described as an experienced and capable individual, to lead BoA forward, emphasizing that his appointment was a sound decision. He also mentioned that he would provide documentation to the media to clarify the situation.
