Bolivian Team Inter Stars Rush Reaches Conmebol U-16 Final, Secures Madrid Tournament Berth

Inter Stars Rush has made history for Bolivian women's football by advancing to the final of the Conmebol Evolution 2026 tournament in the U-16 category. The team secured their spot in the final by defeating Brazilian powerhouse Sao Paulo 1-0 in the semifinals.

The decisive goal was scored by Sarita Torrico in the 24th minute of the first half. The team, coached by Roger Romay, overcame a challenging start to the tournament. After an initial defeat against Selección de Antioquia, Inter Stars Rush rallied with a series of victories against Universidad Católica of Chile, Independiente del Valle, and Alianza Lima, which propelled them into the decisive stages.

Now, Inter Stars Rush is set to compete for the championship title against Argentina's River Plate in the grand final. The match is scheduled for Saturday, August 8th, at 13:30. River Plate reached the final after winning a penalty shootout against Independiente del Valle, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Beyond the opportunity to win the tournament, the Bolivian club has also earned a significant reward: a trip to the International Encounter of the Conmebol Evolution Festival in Madrid, Spain, in December 2026. There, they will share the experience with River Plate and other distinguished teams participating in the program, representing Bolivia on an international stage.
