He emphasized that while other matters are legitimate, they must be distinguished from the massacre's commemoration to prevent derailing attention from the defense of the truth.

The call comes as ceremonies begin to mark the 46th anniversary of the bombing, which occurred at 10:25 AM in Piazza Medaglie d'Oro. The events commenced with a bicycle relay, riders wearing jerseys bearing the names of the 85 victims. An initial tribute was paid to the youngest victims at a monument in the garden of Villa Torchi.
