Following reports on Facebook about the challenges faced by pregnant women in the region, Paul Ryan of BMI initiated contact with Buka Hospital.

BMI's latest contribution is an ultrasound scanner, specifically intended to aid pregnant mothers at the Buka hospital. This marks the second such device to be provided to the facility. The first ultrasound scanner was donated by Francessca Semoso, the national member for North Bougainville, highlighting a collaborative effort to improve maternal healthcare services.
