Bouira Civil Protection Active on All Fronts During Eid al-Adha

Bouira's civil protection services were on high alert throughout the Eid al-Adha holiday, responding to a range of emergencies across the region. The busy period saw rescuers dealing with drownings, traffic accidents, and fires.

On Thursday, the unit in Bouderbala recovered the body of a 20-year-old man from a pool of water in Ouled Youssef. Traffic incidents also demanded swift action. In Kadiria, two young brothers, aged 6 and 8, were struck by a car on National Road 5 and received immediate medical attention. Separately, on National Road 18 in Saïd Abid village, a collision between two vehicles injured two people who were taken to Mohamed Boudiaf Hospital.

Further incidents included a motorcycle crash on National Road 5 in Taliouine, where two individuals with various injuries were transported to Lakhdaria Hospital. Firefighters also tackled a house fire in Lakhdaria and two vehicle fires in Taguedit and Ahnif. Despite the numerous interventions, officials reported no fatalities.
