Boxer Raven Chapman to return to UK after successful brain bleed surgeries

British boxer Raven Chapman is nearing a significant recovery milestone, with plans for her to travel back to the UK next week after two successful surgeries to treat a brain bleed. The 32-year-old former world title challenger collapsed following a sparring session on July 24 in Denmark. She was airlifted to a hospital where she was diagnosed with a brain hematoma and cerebral edema.

Chapman underwent emergency surgery and was placed in a medically induced coma. Her management company, Vote Boxing, announced that a second procedure was also successful. "If everything continues to progress as hoped, we are aiming for Raven to fly home sometime next week, where she can continue her recovery surrounded by her family and loved ones."

While acknowledging a "long road ahead," the statement highlighted this as a "significant milestone" and expressed hope for continued progress. Chapman, who hails from Norwich, has a professional record of 10 wins and two losses. Her previous world title fight was against Skye Nicolson for the WBC featherweight title in October 2024, notable as the only women's world-title fight held in Saudi Arabia.
