Brač Outdoor Weekend Draws International Crowd for Summer Launch

Brač Island in Croatia successfully kicked off its summer season with the Brač Outdoor Weekend, an event that drew over 290 participants from 14 countries. The two-day festival, held on June 20-21, 2026, celebrated sports, local culture, and community spirit.

The event began with the Brač Run 2026, featuring races of 7.3 and 12.1 kilometers. A new route towards Selca offered participants stunning views of the Adriatic Sea, stone walls, and olive groves, combined with the scents of pine and Mediterranean herbs. The run also included children's races, which were a highlight, showcasing the energy of young participants and the pride of their families.

Following the running events, attendees enjoyed a rich entertainment program. Mario Valentić hosted, while chefs from the ŠKMER association in Split presented Dalmatian gastronomic specialties. The evening culminated in a performance by the band Šo!Mazgoon, turning the weekend into a lively island festival.

Sunday, June 21, featured the Jaglun Challenge Povlja swimming race, with 25 swimmers symbolically welcoming the summer. A SUP race, organized in collaboration with SUP Rent, added to the water activities, further highlighting Brač's natural beauty as a sports venue.

The international participation, with attendees from as far as Venezuela, underscored the event's growing reputation. Winners received unique trophies and medals handcrafted from Brač stone by local artisan Rade, symbolizing the island and the participants' efforts. All participants received generous starter packs and gifts from sports partners.
