Brad Mooar is new Fijian Drua head coach

The Fijian Drua men's team has appointed former All Blacks assistant coach Brad Mooar as its new head coach, the Nadi-based franchise announced on Monday. Mooar has signed a two-year deal, taking over from Glen Jackson and bringing a wealth of experience from championship-winning environments.

Drua CEO Jeff Miller highlighted Mooar's selection after a competitive recruitment process, stating he stood out due to his technical and tactical knowledge, player development understanding, and relationship-building abilities. "Brad stood out through his technical and tactical knowledge, his experience in championship-winning environments, his understanding of player development and, importantly, his ability to build strong relationships," Miller said.

Mooar, who has coached at the highest levels, including with the Crusaders and the national teams of Scotland and New Zealand, expressed his honor at taking on the role.
