Braford Cattle Sale Fetches High Prices at Palermo Exhibition

The Braford breed celebrated its achievements at the Rural Exhibition in Palermo, Argentina, with a successful awards ceremony and sale. The event saw strong prices for both bulls and heifers, highlighting the breed's value.

Four bulls were auctioned, achieving an average price of $21,571,428 Argentine pesos. The highest price for a bull was $23,000,000 pesos for 50% ownership of a breeding animal. Nine sellers and 13 buyers participated in the bull auction.

In the female category, three heifers were sold, averaging $17,200,000 pesos each. The top price for a heifer was $19,500,000 pesos for 50% ownership. The event showcased the strong market for Braford genetics.

The judging also recognized top animals. The Grand Champion Male was awarded to a senior bull from La Dominga, owned by Agrolepal SRL and Budeguer. The Reserve Grand Champion Male came from Santa Irene, and the Third Best Male from Doña Evangelina. For females, the Grand Champion was from El Aljibe, the Reserve Grand Champion from Establecimiento San Vicente SA and Marta Carina SRL, and the Third Best Female from Doña Juana.
