Brazil election: Flávio Bolsonaro launches digital TV channel to boost campaign

Flávio Bolsonaro marked Brazil’s Independence Day by launching a digital television channel of his own. The Liberal Party candidate led its first broadcast from a studio in São Paulo equipped with a large screen and a table lined with microphones.

The new channel gave Bolsonaro a platform to attack Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s administration, speak with allies and present some of his campaign promises. The launch places direct political messaging at the center of his campaign effort.
