Brazilian football star Fernandinho holidays in Croatia

Brazilian football icon Fernandinho is currently enjoying a summer holiday in the picturesque city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. The former midfielder, renowned for his illustrious career, has joined a growing list of international sports figures choosing the Adriatic coast for their summer breaks.

Fernandinho's presence in Dubrovnik became public knowledge when a local restaurant, Butcher's Grill, shared a photograph of the smiling footballer on its social media. The restaurant expressed its pleasure in hosting the "world-renowned Fernandinho," adding that "the doors are always open for another gathering."

The 41-year-old retired from professional football last November, leaving behind a significant legacy. He spent nine years, from 2013 to 2022, as a key player for Manchester City, where he won five Premier League titles, six League Cups, and one FA Cup. He also captained the team during their 2020/21 Champions League final run.

Before his successful tenure in England, Fernandinho achieved considerable success in Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk, securing the UEFA Cup in 2009, along with six league titles and four national cups. He also represented Brazil 53 times, scoring two goals, and was part of the squad that won the 2019 Copa América. His international career also included appearances in the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups.
