Bremen CSD organizers fear shortened parade route amid police resource concerns

Organizers of Bremen's upcoming Christopher Street Day (CSD) are expressing serious concerns over a potential shortening of their parade route, citing a lack of sufficient police resources to secure the full path. The CSD organizers stated they received information suggesting the police might not be able to guarantee security for the entire planned route.

However, the Bremen Interior Ministry has pushed back against these concerns. A spokesperson for the ministry stated that the police and organizers are still coordinating the exact route. The ministry emphasized that the police are committed to deploying as many forces as necessary to ensure the CSD's safety, acknowledging its significant importance this year. No concrete threats to the Bremen CSD have been identified, and any route adjustments are considered part of normal planning, not an indication of a security lapse.
