Bremen: Stairway outside Weserstadion sprayed in club colors

A group of 20 to 25 masked people covered a stairway outside Bremen’s Weserstadion in green-and-white graffiti overnight, according to police.

A security service observed the group spraying the so-called Verdener Treppe across its entire surface. The colors match those of the Bremen football club.

Police detained two suspected participants, aged 21 and 31, near the scene. One of them had hidden in bushes, and officers found paint marks on both men.

Spray cans were also recovered near the stairway. The two suspects were issued orders to leave the area.
