Brentford sign Sangare from Lens for club-record fee

Brentford has secured the signing of Mamadou Sangare from RC Lens for a club-record fee, reported to be £39 million. The 24-year-old Mali international has agreed to a five-year contract, with an option to extend for another year.

Sangare's previous club, Lens, saw him play a prominent role in their French Cup victory and a second-place finish in Ligue 1 last season. He had transferred to Lens from Austria's Rapid Vienna the previous year.
