Brighton join race for Nigerian forward Femi Azeez

Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion have entered the race to sign Millwall forward Femi Azeez, aiming to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season. The Seagulls are closely monitoring the Nigerian forward, with newly promoted Hull City also keen on securing his services.

Brighton's interest follows their recent acquisition of another Nigerian youngster, Zadok Yohanna. The club is now considering Azeez as they build their squad for a campaign that will include European football, having finished eighth in the Premier League and secured a UEFA Conference League spot last season.

Azeez enjoyed a standout 2025/26 season, netting 11 goals and contributing seven assists as Millwall reached the Championship play-off semi-finals. His performances earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season and a senior Nigeria call-up. He made an immediate impact for the Super Eagles at the 2026 Unity Cup, scoring twice on his debut and helping Nigeria retain the trophy.

Despite his strong performances, Azeez is also a target for Hull City, who are prepared to meet Millwall's valuation. Azeez started Millwall's opening Championship fixture but was substituted after 30 minutes due to a hamstring problem, with the severity of the injury yet to be determined.
