The situation for foreign pitcher Felix of the CTBC Brothers is becoming increasingly precarious as the team considers activating new Australian left-handed pitcher Jake. Felix was demoted to the minor league team on July 25th, and his performance in upcoming games will be crucial for his future with the club.

Despite the pressure, Felix delivered a strong performance in his recent minor league start on August 6th. He pitched five innings against the Rakuten Monkeys' minor league team, allowing six hits and two runs, only one of which was earned. He recorded two strikeouts and three walks, finishing with a 3.54 ERA. This outing secured his third win in the minor league division.

Felix's season in the top league has been challenging, with a 1-4 record and a 6.00 ERA in six starts. His last appearance on July 24th was particularly rough, as he issued six walks and allowed four runs against the Uni-Lions. The team currently has four foreign players registered: De Paula, Sheng Chi-chi, Luo Ko, and Felix. If they decide to bring up Jake, one of the current foreign players must be removed from the roster, and Felix is widely considered the most likely candidate to be released.

Brothers' manager Ping-yeh Hui-yi stated that Jake will pitch one more game in the minor league. He emphasized that the performance of all foreign pitchers in their recent games, both in terms of results and execution, will be a key factor in the team's decision-making process.
